Greetings 2018 Looney Leprechaun Participants!

Race day is almost here and, while we were hoping for perfect weather for our 6th year, what would a trail race be without some snow, mud and sloppy trails??

Here is some important information regarding race day:

First and foremost we will have the race rain, snow or shine.  If there is still snow on the trails, there will still be a race.

This is a trail race!  Both the 10k and 20k are on mostly horse trails through the park. Trail shoes are not required but recommended. Due to the recent storms and abundant precipitation, the race trails are muddy, wet, and icy. Expect a challenging course and consider racing in old shoes. We will make best effort to keep the course clean of major debris but it is the runner’s responsibility to make safe passage through the trails. Please be extra vigilant, especially when passing other runners. Also, don’t forget to bring an extra pair of socks and shoes for after the race.

Registration and packet pickup will begin at 7am.  Everyone should have received an email confirmation their registering, please print your confirmation and bring it with you or have available on your phone.

Parking – we have parking at the Northampton Township Sports complex off of Newtown/Richboro Road (345 Newtown Richboro Rd, Richboro, PA 18954). There will be parking volunteers, please follow their directions.

There will be important information given pre-race so please be lined up and ready a few minutes ahead of time.

Awards:

10k and 20k: First overall male and female in the will receive a reward. Top 3 male and top 3 female in 10 year age groups will receive an award.

Age groups are: 19 and under, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 and over.

Both the 10k and 20k will start promptly at 8:00am.

** If you are signed up for the 20k and decide to drop down to 10k the morning of the race, or after the race has started you may do so but will not be eligible to receive an age group award for the 10k.

There is day of registration! We can accept cash, check or credit card. Have a friend that may want to run? Bring them out!

Race Shirts: Our shirt deadline passed a few weeks before race day. If you registered after the shirt deadline you will NOT receive a race shirt. You’re welcomed to ask if we have any extra for sale but please understand that there is very, very limited availability and any available shirts will be for sale on a first come / first served basis. We apologize in advance.

Post Race Breakfast: There will be a pancake breakfast for all participants onsite after the race.
